Its moving tale of young lovers who become disillusioned, only to discover a more mature, meaningful love is punctuated by a bountiful series of catchy, memorable songs, many of which have become standards. Opening Friday, May 21. Imperial Splendor: Renaissance Tapestries from Vienna. The richness and artistic quality of the tapestries make the collection one of the most important tapestry collections in the world and one of the most magnificent of its kind. Each of these eight exquisite tapestries, intricately crafted, measures from 11- to 12-feet high and from 12- to 18-feet long. It is a rare and special opportunity that the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna is lending these magnificent works for a U.S. tour. This exhibition travels to only three cities, including Columbia. Saturday, May 22. Bark in the Park. Treat your furry friends to a morning out and about in Lake Carolina! Enjoy access to our private small and large dog parks that will be filled with fun activities for both you and your pup! Participating pups have the opportunity to parade around the new dog park before taking turns in a splash bath, perfecting doggie art projects and taking pooch portraits. Your furry friend also will be able to compete in contests such as Best Doggie Costume and Loudest Bark. 10 am-12 pm. Saturday, May 22. 4th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament! New and seasoned shooters are invited to join in the fun at Hermitage Farm Shooting Sports this Saturday. Each participant will have the opportunity to shoot 100 sporting clay targets in a Lewis Class tournament, as well as participate in cash pot side games and a silent auction. Lunch, as well as safety instruction will be available. All proceeds directly benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia, SC. Saturday, May 22. Mud Mania. Mud Mania is a mud clinging, slip sliding, wet and wild obstacle course! Kids are challenged to climb, crawl, jump and slide their way through seven wet and very mucky obstacles! This FREE event includes: Mud Mania Obstacle Course (ages 7–13); Mini Mud Obstacle Course (ages 6 & under and children with disabilities ages 13 & under); and the sand castle area.
