Michigan electric vehicle company gets S.C. contract The initial phase of the contract calls for GGT Electric to deliver 10 all-electric passenger vans to the state of South Carolina for the first year, with the option for a second-year renewal for another 10 vans. NSF International acquires AQA International NSF International Strategic Registrations, a leader in management systems registrations, bought AQA International of Columbia and its current international operations.

SCMEP releases state economic impact numbers Clients of the S.C. Manufacturing Extension Partnership made a $277 million impact in South Carolina last year, with 1,269 jobs created or retained, the manufacturing partnership reported. SC Launch portfolio company to increase operations MIT-RCF, a wholly owned subsidiary of the advanced materials company Materials Innovation Technologies, has received additional funding and plans to add equipment and jobs in Lake City.

V.C. Summer Station completes maintenance outage S.C. Electric & Gas Co. has completed its scheduled refueling and maintenance outage at the nuclear plant. The plant entered the outage April 15 and returned to service Tuesday. Job of the Week The Beach Company is looking to hire a maintenance technician in Myrtle Beach. The seasonal, full-time position entails preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance work. A high school education or equivalent certification with 3-5 years’ experience in the areas of HVAC, carpentry, dry wall, appliances, plumbing, masonry, roofing and electrical repair is preferred.
