Westinghouse, Shaw Group collaborate to supply nuclear power in China, United States The acquisition of Shaw Group’s 20% ownership stake in Westinghouse Electric Co. by its current majority owner Toshiba Corp., will have no impact on the two AP1000 nuclear reactor units under contract at SCANA’s V.C. Summer Nuclear Station S.C. has high-speed Internet availability, but lower than average usage The Palmetto State has broadband connections available to 99% of households, but 62% of houses use the Internet. South Carolina ranks ahead of North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi in available wired connections and mobile broadband service.

Moore School leases offices in downtown Charleston USC’s Darla Moore School of Business plans to relocate classrooms in North Charleston used by its Professional MBA students and executive education clients to new downtown facilities equipped with state-of-the-art communications technology.

Cliff joins First Citizens as VP, security manager First Citizens bank hired Kevin Cliff to oversee security operations and emergency response plans. He also will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce risk for the company.

Davis elected to board of Community Health Solutions Richard F. Davis, president of Capitol Consultants Inc., a Columbia based governmental affairs and association management firm has been elected to the board of directors of Community Health Solutions of America. Job of the Week Education Inc. is seeking a part-time special education-certified teacher at a medical facility in Charleston. The position features daytime hours and no minimum hours of teaching.
