Sonoco announces higher prices in paperboard sector

Sonoco said it will increase prices for all uncoated recycled paperboard grades, as well as all paperboard tubes and cores, in the United States and Canada, effective with shipments on Nov. 29.

Corporate housing company expands into the Midlands

Dennis Corp. receives philanthropy award

The A/E Philanthropy Award was created by ZweigWhite and Deltek to recognize the charitable contributions of architecture, engineering and environmental consulting firms.

Midlands Tech official to head national trustees group

Midlands Technical College Commissioner Peter E. Sercer Sr. was elected chairman of the national board of the Association of Community College Trustees. He will serve a one-year term.

 

BlueChoice HealthPlan programs featured at conference

A national organization that monitors health plan quality chose two of BlueChoice’s disease management programs to feature at its national conference last week in Washington, D.C. BlueChoice HealthPlan was one of three health plans chosen to present their programs.

Foundation to host dinner, wine tasting event

The Central Carolina Community Foundation will hold the event at the Mill Pond Steakhouse from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Nov. 15. Kennett Distributors will pair wines from various regions of Italy with courses prepared by chef Jamie Hecker.
