Moore School forecast for 2011: ‘Economy is Healing’

An annual economic forecast delivered today in Columbia by University of South Carolina economists at the Darla Moore School of Business indicated that increases in personal income and a better job market will help the state’s economy continue to slowly recover.

Study: Overqualified candidates underrated

The study dispels the notion that overqualified job applicants are easily bored or prone to quit.

Medical school expansion faces challenge

Upstate lawmakers are bracing for a political showdown over the expansion of the USC medical school in Greenville. They called it a “turf war” over economic development not unlike the one that pitted the Upstate against the Midlands in the effort to lure Southwest Airlines.
